Four of Cupsfor Leo

Four of Cups tarot card

"Contemplation isn't the question. What you do next is."

Six quick picks first, then your reading

On the card

After the joyful party of the three of cups, the four of cups is about living in the past and refusing to move onto a new adventure. This card is about boredom and apathy, but fear not! Boredom is a kind of rest that can lead to new ideas!

Upright
ContemplationApathyReevaluationDiscontent

Your past is holding you back from seeing the obvious path ahead (e.g stop thinking about how great your ex is, because there's a new person on the horizon if you would look up to see them). Perhaps you are feeling restless at your job or with your relationship, pay attention to that energy as it can motivate you to take a big (and scary) step to make a change!

Reversed

You are unwilling to take action and it's making you miserable. You are obsessing about something (maybe a past love, maybe a future you thought you were heading toward)-- and it's keeping you stuck. Practice letting your thoughts flow instead of holding onto them so tightly

Four of Cups for Leo

The Creator

Leo is a Fire fixed sign ruled by Sun, whose natural subject is creativity, romance, play, being seen doing the thing. Cups are the water suit, so the Four of Cups sits in Cancer. Cancer sits directly beside Leo, the one relationship a sign cannot see clearly because it is too close to get any distance on. What it asks for is this: say the feeling to the person it is about. The difficulty is noticing it is being asked at all. Leo is fixed: it holds on, and this card sits in the sustained middle, which is the one stretch fixed signs are actually built for. The card asks for feeling where the sign is built to do something about it instead. Upright, the structure is holding. Holding is not the same as being right.
