Nine of Pentaclesfor Scorpio · Work and Career
"Abundance isn't the question. What you do next is."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
A woman, with a bird upon her wrist, stands amidst a great abundance of grapevines in the garden of a manorial house. Pentacles represents wealth and eight represents achievement. Together this card signifies luxury and abundance.
A luxurious card-- all about financial independence and pleasure. You've worked hard and are now enjoying the fruits of your labor. Swim in that pool of money a little. Romantically, your options are all good and you should focus on yourself and your own pleasure.
Perhaps you are overindulging, eating too many sweets (metaphorically) and getting sick. Remember that buying things doesn't actually solve your problems and focus on being comfortable living within your means.

Nine of Pentacles for Scorpio in Work and Career
The Transformer
Pentacles are the earth suit, so the Nine of Pentacles sits in Capricorn. Capricorn sextiles Scorpio, which is help that has to be taken up rather than help that arrives. What it asks for is this: change one concrete arrangement this week. Scorpio is perfectly capable of that, which is exactly why not doing it needs a better excuse. Upright, it is nearly finished, and the last stretch of it is mostly solitary.
When reading about work through a Scorpio lens, the Nine of Pentacles says that you feel like work is where you need to know the financial truth before anyone else does, a problem to solve (or a power to hold), and something you will not announce until you are certain. This has either led to you becoming the person who understands the money and the leverage, or to you refusing to enter the room where decisions are made. You have not asked yourself what you actually want from this work, only what you think you should want from it. The Scorpio blind spot in it is the feeling of being fooled, or of being seen as naive, or of depending on someone who will leave.
In practice that can look like a contract landing. Whatever form it takes, it is close to done and mostly solitary.
