Queen of Pentacles tarot card

"Nurturing Abundance isn't the question. What you do next is."

Six quick picks first, then your reading

On the card

A woman sitting in a garden, staring down at her pentacle. Pentacles represent wealth and queen cards represent nurturing, femininity, and are often a motherly figure. This card represents the wealth and energy that is required to build a comfortable, secure space for yourself and others.

Upright
Nurturing AbundancePractical WisdomHomeSecurity

You have a figure in your life who represents wealth and prosperity and hard work (perhaps that figure is you yourself). They are generous with their resources and want to help others. Romantically the queen can mean you are in a place to start a family or settle down. This card may be an opportunity for you to parent your parents and help them with the resources they need as they age.

Reversed

You have achieved a wealth an prosperity that feels hollow. Instead of feeling generous and nurturing you feel like you are fighting to stay afloat. Maybe someone in your life has used money to emotionally manipulate you. Either way, connect to what you need to feel abundant in life and try to build yourself into the true Queen of Pentacles.

Its place in the deck.

Queen of Pentacles for Taurus in Self and Identity

The Builder

Pentacles are the earth suit, so the Queen of Pentacles sits in Taurus. That makes this Taurus's own card, so nothing in it is being read from the outside, and the flattering interpretation is the one to distrust. What it asks for is the thing Taurus already believes it is good at: change one concrete arrangement this week. Upright, this is the element held internally, by someone with nothing left to prove about it.

When reading about yourself through a Taurus lens, the Queen of Pentacles says that you feel like you are a finished thing that should not change, a body with specific rules, and someone who knows what works and sticks to it. This has either meant missing the person you could have become, or developing such clarity about yourself that you move through the world without apology. You have been so focused on who you think you should be that you haven't checked in with who you actually are. The Taurus blind spot in it is the feeling that the ground is shifting under something they thought was permanent.

In practice that can look like a routine that finally sticks, or the body asking for the basics. Whatever form it takes, it is held by someone who has been through it already.
