Six of Cups tarot card

"Nostalgia isn't the question. What you do next is."

Six quick picks first, then your reading

On the card

A card about honoring your inner child, leaning into your own innocence, and first loves. Remembering the good times and feeling at ease in a place or with a person. Also highly tied to family and children.

Upright
NostalgiaInnocenceReunionChildhood

You feel safe and at home with a childlike sense of wonder. You're being called to reconnect with your inner child. Recall a time when you were truly safe and at ease, try to focus on what made you feel that way--seek out things that help you recreate that feeling (perhaps pick up a hobby you loved as a kid). Romantically, your current/future partner's inner child and yours are becoming best friends.

Reversed

Your inner child is throwing a tantrum, they don't want things to change and they are afraid. This is keeping you stuck in past cycles. You must parent yourself through this time. Be the person that makes you feel safe.

Its place in the deck.

Six of Cups for Scorpio in Self and Identity

The Transformer

Cups are the water suit, so the Six of Cups sits in Scorpio. That makes this Scorpio's own card, so nothing in it is being read from the outside, and the flattering interpretation is the one to distrust. What it asks for is the thing Scorpio already believes it is good at: say the feeling to the person it is about. Upright, the recovery is underway with the loss still in the room.

When reading about yourself through a Scorpio lens, the Six of Cups says that you feel like your own motives are worth interrogating endlessly, a mystery even to you (or especially to you), and something you will judge harshly before anyone else gets the chance. This has either led to you becoming very honest about what you actually want, or to you believing you do not deserve it. You have been so focused on who you think you should be that you haven't checked in with who you actually are. The Scorpio blind spot in it is the feeling of being fooled, or of being seen as naive, or of depending on someone who will leave.

In practice that can look like liking yourself unexpectedly. Whatever form it takes, it is recovering, with the loss still in the room.
