The sun burns off the fog of uncertainty and reveals all (unlike the moon which merely shines through the fog). The sun card is based in the hope and joy of the present moment-- you are alive, the sun is shining, and your future awaits.
You have gone to bed one person and woken up a new person. The world around you seems different, the smells are new and the colors are brighter. Sun rules Leo, so this card is not describing an outside force. It is describing Leo to itself, which is why there is no distance in it. Upright, this is surfacing whether or not it was invited.
When reading about relationships through a Leo lens, the Sun card says that you feel like love is something you give in grand gestures and then measure back in kind, something that should feel like being chosen (or being enough), and something you do not know how to do quietly. This has either created partnerships where both people show up fully visible, or left you wondering if anyone would love you if you stopped performing. The thing you're not saying out loud is the thing that matters most. The Leo blind spot in it is being ordinary, being forgotten, being the one no one thought to invite, being seen doing something mediocre.
In practice that can look like a turning point rather than an incident, or meeting someone who changes the shape of it. Whatever form it takes, it is surfacing whether or not it was invited.
