Three of Wandsfor Aquarius · The Future
"Expansion isn't the question. What you do next is."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
A calm, stately personage, with his back turned, looking from a cliff's edge at ships passing over the sea. Three staves are planted in the ground, and he leans slightly on one of them. Wands represent passion and three represents community. Together this card represents building a community of supporters and finding people who share your passions.
You started a new hobby or new business recently and you are growing a community around that. You are building something with others and sharing the load. Triangles are strong structural supports and you building out foundational friendships and relationships that will serve you for a long time and bear the load of your future goals.
You are having trouble connecting with people-- perhaps you are being rigid in your beliefs and vision for the future. Community involves some sacrifice for the shared dream. Perhaps you are just simply not with the people you need to be with. Don't bend when it comes to your true morals and values, but don't let your passions prevent you from connecting with your loved ones. Find common ground and mutual respect.

Three of Wands for Aquarius in The Future
The Visionary
Wands are the fire suit, so the Three of Wands sits in Aries. Aries sextiles Aquarius, which is help that has to be taken up rather than help that arrives. What it asks for is this: spend the energy on one thing today. Aquarius is perfectly capable of that, which is exactly why not doing it needs a better excuse. Upright, it has become visible to other people, which is the part that makes it real.
When reading about what comes next through an Aquarius lens, the Three of Wands says that you feel like the future is vivid and real and twenty years out, something you can see in detail (or build in theory), and the next twenty weeks are a blur you do not know how to hold. This has either made you a visionary others follow, or left you scattered across possibilities with nothing finished. You already know what comes next, and you are afraid of what it will cost you to get there. The Aquarius blind spot in it is being ordinary, or worse, being needed in a way that pins them down.
In practice that can look like a leap, or booking the thing. Whatever form it takes, it is about to become visible to other people.
