Two of Swordsfor Taurus
"Indecision isn't the question. What you do next is."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
A blindfolded female figure balances two swords upon her shoulders. Swords represents knowledge and thoughts and the two card represents duality. Together the two of swords represents competing choices-- a kind of indecision paralysis.
You have two competing thoughts in your head: these thoughts are weighing on you and holding them both is causing a lot of anxiety. It makes sense to be anxious, the outcome will be important. But the fear is paralyzing you. Romantically, maybe you are avoiding a conflict you know you need to have (maybe your current partner is not meeting your needs). When making a big decision it's important to look back to what you truly value and evaluate which option matches those values.
Your deep truth is being clouded by someone else, or you are doing something that isn't good for you in the long term. Making any step forward towards what is healthy for you is good; you don't have to know everything to move in the right direction.
Its place in the deck.
Where it shows up.
Two of Swords for Taurus
The Builder
Taurus is an Earth fixed sign ruled by Venus, whose natural subject is money, possessions, self-worth, what you value. Swords are the air suit, so the Two of Swords sits in Libra. Libra and Taurus are quincunx, two signs with nothing in common: no shared element, mode, or polarity. This card will not slot neatly into how Taurus already operates. What it wants is this: write the sentence down and stop rewriting it. It has to be done deliberately or it will not happen. Taurus is fixed: it holds on, and this is a card about beginning, so the resistance shows up before anything has even been asked. The card works in ideas where the sign deals in what is physically in front of it. The idea will not survive without a concrete first step. Upright, the second thing has actually arrived and the negotiation between them is live.
