Ace of Wands tarot card

"Inspiration isn't the question. What you do next is."

Six quick picks first, then your reading

On the card

A hand issuing from a cloud grasps a wand above lush landscape. Wands represent passion and the ace represents the start of a new journey. Together this card represents a passionate vision or energy that sparks a new adventure.

Upright
InspirationNew PassionCreative SparkPotential

You have the spark of an idea-- follow it! Lots of exciting energy is swirling around you, perhaps you just met someone new and are in the throws of a new relationship (or have found a new facet in someone you know well). Outside of romance, you have a business idea or project to pursue which is lighting a fire under you.

Reversed

You are being held back from something you are passionate about-- perhaps because it will mean a change for you or perhaps you are afraid you might not achieve the vision. Either way, let the passion and creativity flow and make plans.

Ace of Wands for Cancer in Money and Wealth

The Nurturer

Wands are the fire suit, so the Ace of Wands sits in Aries. Aries squares Cancer, so the card asks for the move Cancer is least fluent in: spend the energy on one thing today. The friction is the content, not an obstacle to it. An ace is a seed rather than a result. Upright it means the thing is genuinely available and completely untested.

When reading about money through a Cancer lens, the Ace of Wands says that you feel like money is safety and security you must earn by being indispensable, spending on others proves you are not selfish, and your own comfort feels like taking from someone else. This has either made you spend on everyone but yourself and wonder where it went, or helped you understand that your security matters too. You have not looked at your full financial picture all at once, and the not-looking costs more than the looking would. The Cancer blind spot in it is being seen as a burden, or as someone whose needs are too much.

In practice that can look like a risk with money, or earning from something you actually like. Whatever form it takes, it is just arriving and has not been tested yet.
