"It's not over. It's composting."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
Don't fear the death card, a skull knight rides a white horse across a battlefield. The card seems grim, but the death card means a new beginning as much as it means something coming to end. Think persephone and hades more than the grim reaper. Or the death of winter leading to spring.
You are facing an ending or a big transition. Will it be a phoenix rising from the ashes or the start of something new. Some trees only grow in the wake of a forest fire. Accept this part of the process of life and let the loss wash over you. This part of the cycle has ended, but a new one always begins
You are energetically blocked by something from your past. Holding onto it is causing you more pain than you know. Everyone fears loss, but, alas, we cannot go through life without it. Feel the grief flow through you, but don't let it trap you in a place you don't belong
Its place in the deck.
Where it shows up.
Death for Cancer in Money and Wealth
The Nurturer
Pluto works on a longer clock than Moon-ruled Cancer is used to. Whatever this is, it will not resolve on Cancer's preferred timeline. Upright, this has turned inward, to the place where the outer tools stop working.
When reading about money through a Cancer lens, the Death says that you feel like money is safety and security you must earn by being indispensable, spending on others proves you are not selfish, and your own comfort feels like taking from someone else. This has either made you spend on everyone but yourself and wonder where it went, or helped you understand that your security matters too. You have not looked at your full financial picture all at once, and the not-looking costs more than the looking would. The Cancer blind spot in it is being seen as a burden, or as someone whose needs are too much.
In practice that can look like a change in circumstance rather than an amount, or what money is for shifting. Whatever form it takes, it is turning inward, where the usual moves stop working.
