"It's not over. It's composting."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
Don't fear the death card, a skull knight rides a white horse across a battlefield. The card seems grim, but the death card means a new beginning as much as it means something coming to end. Think persephone and hades more than the grim reaper. Or the death of winter leading to spring.
You are facing an ending or a big transition. Will it be a phoenix rising from the ashes or the start of something new. Some trees only grow in the wake of a forest fire. Accept this part of the process of life and let the loss wash over you. This part of the cycle has ended, but a new one always begins
You are energetically blocked by something from your past. Holding onto it is causing you more pain than you know. Everyone fears loss, but, alas, we cannot go through life without it. Feel the grief flow through you, but don't let it trap you in a place you don't belong
Its place in the deck.
Where it shows up.
Death for Capricorn in Work and Career
The Architect
Pluto works on a longer clock than Saturn-ruled Capricorn is used to. Whatever this is, it will not resolve on Capricorn's preferred timeline. Upright, this has turned inward, to the place where the outer tools stop working.
When reading about work through a Capricorn lens, the Death says that you feel like work is where you prove you are worth keeping around, a problem you solve by solving more problems, and the only place that keeps score in a way you trust. This has either led to building something real and durable that outlasts you or to becoming so necessary that leaving would feel like abandonment. You have not asked yourself what you actually want from this work, only what you think you should want from it. The Capricorn blind spot in it is being useless, being a burden, being the person who could not hold it together.
In practice that can look like a change large enough to reorganise the rest, or the job becoming a different job. Whatever form it takes, it is turning inward, where the usual moves stop working.
