Eight of Wands for Aries in Work and Career
The Initiator
Wands are the fire suit, so the Eight of Wands sits in Aries. That makes this Aries's own card, so nothing in it is being read from the outside, and the flattering interpretation is the one to distrust. What it asks for is the thing Aries already believes it is good at: spend the energy on one thing today. Upright, the work is available, and it is repetitive rather than dramatic.
When reading about work through an Aries lens, the Eight of Wands says that you feel like work is the place you prove you are not wasting time, a problem to solve fast (or escape), and something that only matters if you can see the finish line tomorrow. This has either led to building something from nothing in record time or to leaving behind half-finished things because the sprint ended and the marathon scared you. You have not asked yourself what you actually want from this work, only what you think you should want from it. The Aries blind spot in it is the feeling that nothing you do makes any difference, that you are not the center of the story.
