Eight of Wands tarot card

"Speed isn't the question. What you do next is."

Six quick picks first, then your reading

On the card

The card represents motion through the immovable-a flight of wands through an open country; but they draw to the term of their course. Wands represents passion and eight represents movement/cycles. Together this card represents a kind of flow state achieved by being in tune with the universe and moving with it instead of against it.

Upright
SpeedMovementSwift ActionMomentum

You are especially receptive to fate and kismet. A bunch of connected events are helping guide you towards your end goal. Perhaps you are invited to go to a woodworking class, at that class you make a new friend and that new friend introduces you to their brother (who is coincidentally the love of your life). Be open to moving quickly and saying yes to things. Follow your passions and joy and don't be afraid to let the universe take the wheel.

Reversed

Things are not flowing smoothly-- you are having a hard time finishing a task or finding the next one to start. Perhaps a trip got cancelled or a project is delayed. Don't be too frustrated, take this as a sign to slow down and enjoy the small wonders of life. Reconnect with your passions and loved ones.

Minor ArcanaNumber card
One of the 56 Minor Arcana. They are about what is happening in ordinary life right now. Each belongs to one of four suits, numbered Ace to Ten, plus four court cards.
SuitWands · Fire
Wands are the suit of Fire: drive and spirit. A Wands card is always, underneath, about what you want badly enough to act on.
NumberEight
The numbers tell a story inside each suit, from a seed at the Ace to the full expression at Ten. Eight is the work: unglamorous repetition, the part nobody posts about.

Eight of Wands for Scorpio in Self and Identity

The Transformer

Wands are the fire suit, so the Eight of Wands sits in Aries. Aries and Scorpio are quincunx, two signs with nothing in common: no shared element, mode, or polarity. This card will not slot neatly into how Scorpio already operates. What it wants is this: spend the energy on one thing today. It has to be done deliberately or it will not happen. Upright, the work is available, and it is repetitive rather than dramatic.

When reading about yourself through a Scorpio lens, the Eight of Wands says that you feel like your own motives are worth interrogating endlessly, a mystery even to you (or especially to you), and something you will judge harshly before anyone else gets the chance. This has either led to you becoming very honest about what you actually want, or to you believing you do not deserve it. You have been so focused on who you think you should be that you haven't checked in with who you actually are. The Scorpio blind spot in it is the feeling of being fooled, or of being seen as naive, or of depending on someone who will leave.

In practice that can look like wanting something again, or restlessness with a direction. Whatever form it takes, it is going to take unglamorous repetition.
