The Initiator
Wands are the fire suit, so the Five of Wands sits in Aries. That makes this Aries's own card, so nothing in it is being read from the outside, and the flattering interpretation is the one to distrust. What it asks for is the thing Aries already believes it is good at: spend the energy on one thing today. Upright, the loss is happening rather than being feared, which is the harder and simpler thing.
When reading about money through an Aries lens, the Five of Wands says that you feel like money is the thing you need to move forward, a problem to solve immediately (or spend away), and something that only matters if it is stopping you from doing the next thing. This has either made you resourceful enough to start with nothing and build fast, or left you broke from betting on yourself before you were ready.
