Four of Pentaclesfor Capricorn
"Security isn't the question. What you do next is."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
A crowned figure, having a pentacle over his crown, clasps another with hands and arms; two pentacles are under his feet. Pentacles represents wealth and the four card represents structure and stability. Together this card represents meeting your base needs for food and shelter, but holding on very tightly to the things you have.
Your life is stable and you technically have everything you need to live a comfortable life. Perhaps you are in a perfectly fine apartment, with a perfectly fine partner, with a perfectly fine job that pays the bills exactly. This is a perfectly fine way to live life, but the card asks us to consider that maybe we want more than perfectly fine. You needed this stability to move forward, but you deserve more than perfectly fine.
You're holding on very tightly to something, maybe a desire to feel safe. Perhaps it's a financial number or perhaps it's about finding a partner that meets your specific rubric. Safety is not a number; enough is not a number. Make sure your base needs are met, and after that practice letting go a little and see where you find joy

Four of Pentacles for Capricorn
The Architect
Capricorn is an Earth cardinal sign ruled by Saturn, whose natural subject is career, public standing, authority, legacy. Pentacles are the earth suit, so the Four of Pentacles sits in Capricorn. That makes this Capricorn's own card, so nothing in it is being read from the outside, and the flattering interpretation is the one to distrust. What it asks for is the thing Capricorn already believes it is good at: change one concrete arrangement this week. Capricorn is cardinal: it starts things, and this card is in the middle, which is the part cardinal signs are worst at staying for. Earth meeting its own element is amplification, which raises the sign's strengths and its usual failure by the same amount. Upright, the structure is holding. Holding is not the same as being right.
