Queen of Cups tarot card

"Emotional Intelligence isn't the question. What you do next is."

Six quick picks first, then your reading

On the card

The queen represents the highest form of feminine energy, love and nurturing and protectiveness. Highly tied to the emotions and water-- she's creative and intuitive and above all loving. She's also dreamy and tied to a more psychic power.

Emotional IntelligenceCompassionNurturingIntuition

With all royal cards, the queen can be an actual person in your life who represents the highest forms of love and nurturing (romantically maybe it's a truly healthy attachment with whom you want to start a life/build a family; perhaps a bond to your own mother is strong or your mom will be a support in your next life phase). The queen can also be an embodiment of your own strong emotions (maybe you are having a baby, or parenting in some way).

Reversed

The reversed queen of cups means someone is using their control of your emotions to trick you or feed their own ego. Put a little space between you and the person in your life who uses your love of them to feel good about themselves.

Queen of Cups for Scorpio in Health and Energy

The Transformer

Cups are the water suit, so the Queen of Cups sits in Scorpio. That makes this Scorpio's own card, so nothing in it is being read from the outside, and the flattering interpretation is the one to distrust. What it asks for is the thing Scorpio already believes it is good at: say the feeling to the person it is about. Upright, this is the element held internally, by someone with nothing left to prove about it.

When reading about health through a Scorpio lens, the Queen of Cups says that you feel like your body is something you ignore until the problem is undeniable, a machine you are behind on maintaining (or refuse to examine closely), and a frontier you do not trust yourself to explore. This has either led to you discovering something serious late, or to you becoming obsessively knowledgeable about the one thing you do decide to fix. The body has been sending the same signal for months and nobody has bothered to listen. The Scorpio blind spot in it is the feeling of being fooled, or of being seen as naive, or of depending on someone who will leave.

In practice that can look like wanting to be looked after. Whatever form it takes, it is held by someone who has been through it already.
