Six quick picks first, then your reading
A figure sits in a luxurious chair in a field of tall grass. Embracing their own femininity and sexuality, they are able to enjoy the beauty around them as it unfolds
Look closer.
This card represents the warmer/sensual aspects of femininity (and motherhood) whereas the High Priestess, the card before this, represents the more cool/mysterious aspects of womanhood. You have cultivated something wonderful through a connection to your inner divine and nature. Appreciate the beauty and passion that you attract
You are not attracting the beauty and passion you want. Perhaps you are impatient or perhaps you must connect more with nature or your own raw energy
The imagery (the crown, corn necklace and field) is a nod to depictions of Demeter, the greek goddess of the harvest (and mother to Persephone)

The Empress for Gemini in The Future
The Communicator
Venus sits outside Gemini's usual Mercury register, so this one arrives as unfamiliar weather. Upright, this is happening out in the visible world, where other people can see it and respond to it.
When reading about what comes next through a Gemini lens, the Empress card says that you feel like the future is a set of possibilities you can hold all at once, something you prepare for by gathering information, and a place where you do not have to choose yet (or where choosing feels like closing a door forever). This has either kept you genuinely flexible and ready for change or left you holding so many options that you grieve them all instead of living one. You already know what comes next, and you are afraid of what it will cost you to get there. The Gemini blind spot in it is stillness, silence, the moment when talking stops and you have to feel what you actually feel, the weight of having chosen one thing and not the other.
In practice that can look like a door closing and it mattering, or the next chapter starting without permission. Whatever form it takes, it is happening in the visible world where other people can see it.
