"Stop producing. Start receiving."

Six quick picks first, then your reading

On the card

A figure sits in a luxurious chair in a field of tall grass. Embracing their own femininity and sexuality, they are able to enjoy the beauty around them as it unfolds

Look closer.

Upright
FertilityAbundanceNatureNurturing

This card represents the warmer/sensual aspects of femininity (and motherhood) whereas the High Priestess, the card before this, represents the more cool/mysterious aspects of womanhood. You have cultivated something wonderful through a connection to your inner divine and nature. Appreciate the beauty and passion that you attract

Reversed

You are not attracting the beauty and passion you want. Perhaps you are impatient or perhaps you must connect more with nature or your own raw energy

Card lore

The imagery (the crown, corn necklace and field) is a nod to depictions of Demeter, the greek goddess of the harvest (and mother to Persephone)

Major ArcanaCard 3
One of the 22 Major Arcana. They point to the large themes and turning points in a life, not the day to day. When one comes up, the reading is about something bigger than this week.
StageThe outer world
After the Fool, the Major Arcana run in three stages of seven: the outer world (1 to 7), the turn inward (8 to 14) and the return (15 to 21). This one is in the outer world: building a workable self out of will, learning and structure.

The Empress for Taurus in Self and Identity

The Builder

Venus rules Taurus, so this card is not describing an outside force. It is describing Taurus to itself, which is why there is no distance in it. Upright, this is happening out in the visible world, where other people can see it and respond to it.

When reading about yourself through a Taurus lens, the Empress card says that you feel like you are a finished thing that should not change, a body with specific rules, and someone who knows what works and sticks to it. This has either meant missing the person you could have become, or developing such clarity about yourself that you move through the world without apology. You have been so focused on who you think you should be that you haven't checked in with who you actually are. The Taurus blind spot in it is the feeling that the ground is shifting under something they thought was permanent.

In practice that can look like something you cannot un-see about yourself, or a season ending. Whatever form it takes, it is happening in the visible world where other people can see it.
