A figure sits in balance between their own negative and positive thoughts. They appear in balance with the spirits and the natural highs and lows that come from life's journey. A tapestry of pomegranates behind alludes to fertility

The high priestess sits like an oracle at Delphi, waiting to answer questions with a lot of book knowledge and a strong intuition. Drawing this card means you must take all your knowledge and intuition to act wisely in a situation. There is a coldness to this card, a bit of the alien moon goddess. Notice that both the oracle at delphi and an alien moon goddess are not, themselves, taking actions-- this card can also mean a bit of disconnection between intuition and initiative
You are blocked from your own intuition. Perhaps you value others (or societies) opinions over your own inner voice.
This card had been a reference to the myth of a female Pope (it was originally called The Papess). Hover it was changed to be 'high priestess' based off of a theory that tarot was originally created in ancient Egypt.

The High Priestess for Capricorn in Self and Identity
The Architect
Moon is a luminary and Capricorn runs on Saturn, so this card lights something up rather than fixing it. It is asking to be seen before it is solved. Upright, this is happening out in the visible world, where other people can see it and respond to it.
When reading about yourself through a Capricorn lens, the High Priestess card says that you feel like you are the sum of what you have accomplished, valuable primarily when producing something others can point to, and most real when you are being useful. This has either made you someone with genuine integrity and follow-through or someone who cannot rest without guilt, who mistakes self-abandonment for dedication. You have been so focused on who you think you should be that you haven't checked in with who you actually are. The Capricorn blind spot in it is being useless, being a burden, being the person who could not hold it together.
In practice that can look like something you cannot un-see about yourself, or a season ending. Whatever form it takes, it is happening in the visible world where other people can see it.
