Sun is a luminary and Scorpio runs on Pluto, so this card lights something up rather than fixing it. It is asking to be seen before it is solved. Upright, this is surfacing whether or not it was invited.
When reading about money through a Scorpio lens, the Sun card says that you feel like money is your only guarantee of privacy, a problem to solve (or avoid), and something that must be accumulated before you can breathe. This has either led to you building a quiet security that no one can touch, or to you spending on the people you fiercely love because safety feels like a lie anyway. You have not looked at your full financial picture all at once, and the not-looking costs more than the looking would. The Scorpio blind spot in it is the feeling of being fooled, or of being seen as naive, or of depending on someone who will leave.
In practice that can look like a change in circumstance rather than an amount, or what money is for shifting. Whatever form it takes, it is surfacing whether or not it was invited.
