The sun burns off the fog of uncertainty and reveals all (unlike the moon which merely shines through the fog). The sun card is based in the hope and joy of the present moment-- you are alive, the sun is shining, and your future awaits.
You have gone to bed one person and woken up a new person. The world around you seems different, the smells are new and the colors are brighter. You are falling in love with your life as you see it in the light of a clear day (perhaps a new love, perhaps seeing an old situation in a new light, start a new hobby that nurtures you)

The Sun for Virgo in Self and Identity
The Analyst
Sun is a luminary and Virgo runs on Mercury, so this card lights something up rather than fixing it. It is asking to be seen before it is solved. Upright, this is surfacing whether or not it was invited.
When reading about yourself through a Virgo lens, the Sun card says that you feel like you are a collection of things that could be better, something you monitor constantly (or avoid looking at entirely), and a project that will never be finished. This has either led to genuine self-knowledge and the ability to catch yourself, or to a running list of failures you've memorized. You have been so focused on who you think you should be that you haven't checked in with who you actually are. The Virgo blind spot in it is the feeling of being useless, or of having wasted time on something that didn't hold up.
In practice that can look like something you cannot un-see about yourself, or a season ending. Whatever form it takes, it is surfacing whether or not it was invited.
