Two of Wands tarot card

"Planning isn't the question. What you do next is."

Six quick picks first, then your reading

On the card

A tall man looks from a battlemented roof over sea and shore; he ponders the globe and his power over it. Wands represent passion and two represents duality. Together this card represents a choice to be made: stay or go. Both options will lead to prosperity, but we have to pick one.

Your passion has led you to a crossroads. Stay doing something you love, or branch out to a new horizon. You are able to build the life you want with either route, but you cannot have both. Perhaps you are called to travel/trips or perhaps you are deciding to leave your hometown. Listen to your deep truth and do not let fear of change hold you back, but don't let the excitement of newness be your only motivation.

Reversed

You are moving quickly, following one of your passions and perhaps not listening to your true inner voice. Diving full steam into a new relationship without figuring out what broke down in your previous one; quitting a job without new plans for a new one. Slow down, listen to what your intuition is telling you-- safety is not always the enemy. Sometimes running ahead lets us avoid figuring out what we truly want.

Two of Wands for Gemini in Self and Identity

The Communicator

Wands are the fire suit, so the Two of Wands sits in Aries. Aries sextiles Gemini, which is help that has to be taken up rather than help that arrives. What it asks for is this: spend the energy on one thing today. Gemini is perfectly capable of that, which is exactly why not doing it needs a better excuse. Upright, the second thing has actually arrived and the negotiation between them is live.

When reading about yourself through a Gemini lens, the Two of Wands says that you feel like you are a collection of different selves depending on who is listening, something you can understand if you just find the right framework, and a project that requires constant revision (or finally some rest). This has either made you genuinely adaptable and impossible to pin down in good ways or left you fragmented, unsure which version is the real one. You have been so focused on who you think you should be that you haven't checked in with who you actually are. The Gemini blind spot in it is stillness, silence, the moment when talking stops and you have to feel what you actually feel, the weight of having chosen one thing and not the other.

In practice that can look like wanting something again, or restlessness with a direction. Whatever form it takes, it is becoming a two person situation.
