Wheel of Fortune tarot card

"This too shall pass. And so will the next thing."

Six quick picks first, then your reading

On the card

The wheel symbolizes the role of chance/fate/luck plays in our life. It also shows us that life can feel like a wheel, things can often come in cycles. While we may have seen the wheel spin before, we can't always control where it lands

Upright
CyclesFateChangeTurning Points

Something out of your control has caused a change in your life (maybe a chance encounter, a windfall, etc), embrace your emotions, follow the joy, and let it guide you through a big change.

Reversed

You are trying to control things that are not within your power to control (they are up to fate). Obsessively focusing on things we can't control rewires our brains. Don't be afraid to move on from an emotion or situation that's not serving you

Its place in the deck.

Major ArcanaCard 10
One of the 22 Major Arcana. They point to the large themes and turning points in a life, not the day to day. When one comes up, the reading is about something bigger than this week.
StageThe turn inward
After the Fool, the Major Arcana run in three stages of seven: the outer world (1 to 7), the turn inward (8 to 14) and the return (15 to 21). This one is in the turn inward: the point where the tools that worked outside stop working.

Wheel of Fortune for Capricorn in Self and Identity

The Architect

Jupiter against Saturn-ruled Capricorn is relief showing up somewhere Capricorn had already accepted the difficulty. The suspicion of easy things is part of the pattern here. Upright, this has turned inward, to the place where the outer tools stop working.

When reading about yourself through a Capricorn lens, the Wheel of Fortune says that you feel like you are the sum of what you have accomplished, valuable primarily when producing something others can point to, and most real when you are being useful. This has either made you someone with genuine integrity and follow-through or someone who cannot rest without guilt, who mistakes self-abandonment for dedication. You have been so focused on who you think you should be that you haven't checked in with who you actually are. The Capricorn blind spot in it is being useless, being a burden, being the person who could not hold it together.

In practice that can look like something you cannot un-see about yourself, or a season ending. Whatever form it takes, it is turning inward, where the usual moves stop working.
