Cups are the water suit, so the Ace of Cups sits in Cancer. That makes this Cancer's own card, so nothing in it is being read from the outside, and the flattering interpretation is the one to distrust. What it asks for is the thing Cancer already believes it is good at: say the feeling to the person it is about. An ace is a seed rather than a result. Upright it means the thing is genuinely available and completely untested.
When reading about yourself through a Cancer lens, the Ace of Cups says that you feel like you are only acceptable when you are useful, your body is something that wants too much (or needs too much), and your own feelings are something to handle in private.
