Ace of Cups tarot card

"New Love isn't the question. What you do next is."

Six quick picks first, then your reading

On the card

Cups represent emotions, love, and feelings. The ace of cups, as the first card in the suit, represents a new love just beginning its emotional journey. Untested, but excited!

Upright
New LoveEmotional AwakeningIntuitionCreativity

You are at the start of a new journey, some form of new love has come into your life (be it a new connection, a new pet, a new lover, or a new take on a love that's existed before). Be open to new things and see the world with rose colored glasses!

Reversed

You over focused on something new, and neglected your self. You've depleted your own emotional cup and need to spend some time filling it up again. Perhaps a new love did not go as you hoped and you must start the healing process before you begin again.

SuitCups ยท Water
Cups are the suit of Water: feeling and attachment. A Cups card is always, underneath, about what you feel and who you are attached to.
NumberAce
The numbers tell a story inside each suit, from a seed at the Ace to the full expression at Ten. Ace is the seed: nothing has been spent yet and nothing has been tested.

Ace of Cups for Pisces

The Dreamer

Pisces is a Water mutable sign ruled by Jupiter, whose natural subject is the unconscious, dissolution, retreat, what is hidden from the self. Cups are the water suit, so the Ace of Cups sits in Pisces. That makes this Pisces's own card, so nothing in it is being read from the outside, and the flattering interpretation is the one to distrust. What it asks for is the thing Pisces already believes it is good at: say the feeling to the person it is about. Pisces is mutable: it adapts, and this is a card about beginning, so the start will be easy and the shape of it will keep changing. Water meeting its own element is amplification, which raises the sign's strengths and its usual failure by the same amount. An ace is a seed rather than a result. Upright it means the thing is genuinely available and completely untested.
