Pentacles are the earth suit, so the Eight of Pentacles sits in Virgo. That makes this Virgo's own card, so nothing in it is being read from the outside, and the flattering interpretation is the one to distrust. What it asks for is the thing Virgo already believes it is good at: change one concrete arrangement this week. Upright, the work is available, and it is repetitive rather than dramatic.
When reading about relationships through a Virgo lens, the Eight of Pentacles says that you feel like your partner is someone whose life you can improve, a problem you can solve (or prevent), and a person you check on more than you check in with.
