"Loss isn't the question. What you do next is."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
A tumultuous card-- lots of spilled cups and a lack of connection. This card signifies struggle and loss.
A major setback has occurred. Grieve for what you lost (maybe a relationship, a part of yourself, or a loved one). It's okay to be sad-- this card calls us to honor that sadness. It was a big deal and it's okay that you're hurting. Give yourself time to heal.
In a dark time, you found a path through to the light. Slowly you found yourself again and that inner strength is like a candle in the dark. You can navigate this situation.

Five of Cups for Virgo in Money and Wealth
The Analyst
Cups are the water suit, so the Five of Cups sits in Cancer. Cancer sextiles Virgo, which is help that has to be taken up rather than help that arrives. What it asks for is this: say the feeling to the person it is about. Virgo is perfectly capable of that, which is exactly why not doing it needs a better excuse. Upright, the loss is happening rather than being feared, which is the harder and simpler thing.
When reading about money through a Virgo lens, the Five of Cups says that you feel like money is something you track precisely, a source of quiet anxiety (or control), and something you save rather than spend because you're not sure what it's for yet. This has either led to genuine financial stability and the ability to help others, or to a bank account that never feels full enough. You have not looked at your full financial picture all at once, and the not-looking costs more than the looking would. The Virgo blind spot in it is the feeling of being useless, or of having wasted time on something that didn't hold up.
In practice that can look like a gift that complicates things. Whatever form it takes, it is breaking, and the loss in it is real.
