King of Cupsfor Gemini
"Emotional Balance isn't the question. What you do next is."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
The king represents taking action on matters of love and emotion. A masculine energy, the king represent fire and water and dominion over the emotional plain.
Someone (or yourself) is upholding the emotional wellbeing of you and those around you. A gentle forcefulness or protective energy around your heart. Unlike the queen of cups, the king represents a more active role (instead of nurturing/healing it's more about setting boundaries and moving forward).
A malevolent force in your life, aware of the occult and intentionally taking actions against you. Perhaps a roguish figure who has two emotional lives that do not overlap. Avoid vices and scandal or people associated with them.

King of Cups for Gemini
The Communicator
Gemini is an Air mutable sign ruled by Mercury, whose natural subject is talk, siblings, short trips, the daily traffic of information. Cups are the water suit, so the King of Cups sits in Cancer. Cancer sits directly beside Gemini, the one relationship a sign cannot see clearly because it is too close to get any distance on. What it asks for is this: say the feeling to the person it is about. The difficulty is noticing it is being asked at all. Gemini is mutable: it adapts, and this card is about completion, which asks the one thing mutable signs resist, which is settling on a final form. The card and the sign pull in different directions, and the friction is the information. Upright, this is the element used out in the world, at the cost of still feeling it.
