King of Cupsfor Scorpio
"Emotional Balance isn't the question. What you do next is."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
The king represents taking action on matters of love and emotion. A masculine energy, the king represent fire and water and dominion over the emotional plain.
Someone (or yourself) is upholding the emotional wellbeing of you and those around you. A gentle forcefulness or protective energy around your heart. Unlike the queen of cups, the king represents a more active role (instead of nurturing/healing it's more about setting boundaries and moving forward).
A malevolent force in your life, aware of the occult and intentionally taking actions against you. Perhaps a roguish figure who has two emotional lives that do not overlap. Avoid vices and scandal or people associated with them.

King of Cups for Scorpio
The Transformer
Scorpio is a Water fixed sign ruled by Mars, whose natural subject is shared resources, other people's money, death, sex, what is hidden. Cups are the water suit, so the King of Cups sits in Scorpio. That makes this Scorpio's own card, so nothing in it is being read from the outside, and the flattering interpretation is the one to distrust. What it asks for is the thing Scorpio already believes it is good at: say the feeling to the person it is about. Scorpio is fixed: it holds on, and this card is about an ending, which is the specific move fixed signs will delay the longest. Water meeting its own element is amplification, which raises the sign's strengths and its usual failure by the same amount. Upright, this is the element used out in the world, at the cost of still feeling it.
