King of Cupsfor Taurus · Work and Career
"Emotional Balance isn't the question. What you do next is."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
The king represents taking action on matters of love and emotion. A masculine energy, the king represent fire and water and dominion over the emotional plain.
Someone (or yourself) is upholding the emotional wellbeing of you and those around you. A gentle forcefulness or protective energy around your heart. Unlike the queen of cups, the king represents a more active role (instead of nurturing/healing it's more about setting boundaries and moving forward).
A malevolent force in your life, aware of the occult and intentionally taking actions against you. Perhaps a roguish figure who has two emotional lives that do not overlap. Avoid vices and scandal or people associated with them.

King of Cups for Taurus in Work and Career
The Builder
Cups are the water suit, so the King of Cups sits in Cancer. Cancer sextiles Taurus, which is help that has to be taken up rather than help that arrives. What it asks for is this: say the feeling to the person it is about. Taurus is perfectly capable of that, which is exactly why not doing it needs a better excuse. Upright, this is the element used out in the world, at the cost of still feeling it.
When reading about work through a Taurus lens, the King of Cups says that you feel like work is where you prove your value stays constant, a place you have learned completely, and something you protect from disruption. This has either led to becoming irreplaceable in a role that stopped teaching you anything, or to moving deliberately into new work and building mastery there from the ground up. You have not asked yourself what you actually want from this work, only what you think you should want from it. The Taurus blind spot in it is the feeling that the ground is shifting under something they thought was permanent.
In practice that can look like a resentment that has to be said out loud. Whatever form it takes, it is being decided by whoever holds the authority.
