King of Pentaclesfor Pisces · Work and Career
"Wealth isn't the question. What you do next is."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
A man sits (somewhat lazily, but perhaps dignified) on a throne and surrounded by lusciousness. Pentacles represent wealth and the king card represents mastery. This card represents a person who has 'made it' financially. Someone who knows how to act in order to generate wealth. Money has a corrupting influence and you can see that with this card.
You are placed in a situation where you need to be the financial leader. Either at work or in your personal life. You will be successful as you have all the tools and mastery to handle the job. This card can also mean someone in your life has true domain over wealth. Romantically this card means you need a partner who brings a mastery of finances to the table.
Someone in your life is using their wealth to hold power over you-- perhaps you are stuck in a job you dislike or perhaps you have a family member who is paying for something you need. Perhaps you are feeling a lack of generosity from others or from within yourself. Displays of wealth do not make you rich; being rich does not mean you are generous.

King of Pentacles for Pisces in Work and Career
The Dreamer
Pentacles are the earth suit, so the King of Pentacles sits in Capricorn. Capricorn sextiles Pisces, which is help that has to be taken up rather than help that arrives. What it asks for is this: change one concrete arrangement this week. Pisces is perfectly capable of that, which is exactly why not doing it needs a better excuse. Upright, this is the element used out in the world, at the cost of still feeling it.
When reading about work through a Pisces lens, the King of Pentacles says that you feel like work is where you prove your value through knowing what everyone else needs before they do, a place where your own tasks blur into managing the room's emotions, and somewhere you can disappear into usefulness. This has either led to you burning out quietly while everyone else thrives on your labor, or to you becoming so essential that staying feels like the only way to matter. You have not asked yourself what you actually want from this work, only what you think you should want from it. The Pisces blind spot in it is the moment they have to stop being useful and admit they're drowning.
In practice that can look like a promotion that is really more work. Whatever form it takes, it is being decided by whoever holds the authority.
