Nine of Pentaclesfor Cancer · The Future
"Abundance isn't the question. What you do next is."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
A woman, with a bird upon her wrist, stands amidst a great abundance of grapevines in the garden of a manorial house. Pentacles represents wealth and eight represents achievement. Together this card signifies luxury and abundance.
A luxurious card-- all about financial independence and pleasure. You've worked hard and are now enjoying the fruits of your labor. Swim in that pool of money a little. Romantically, your options are all good and you should focus on yourself and your own pleasure.
Perhaps you are overindulging, eating too many sweets (metaphorically) and getting sick. Remember that buying things doesn't actually solve your problems and focus on being comfortable living within your means.

Nine of Pentacles for Cancer in The Future
The Nurturer
Pentacles are the earth suit, so the Nine of Pentacles sits in Capricorn. Capricorn sits directly opposite Cancer, so this card describes the half of the situation Cancer habitually hands to someone else. What it wants is this: change one concrete arrangement this week. Handing that to another person is exactly the habit. Upright, it is nearly finished, and the last stretch of it is mostly solitary.
When reading about what comes next through a Cancer lens, the Nine of Pentacles says that you feel like the future is a home you are building in your mind, it should feel like a place you belong (or like a place that wants you), and you are afraid it will not come. This has either kept you planning endlessly without moving, or given you the patience to build something real. You already know what comes next, and you are afraid of what it will cost you to get there. The Cancer blind spot in it is being seen as a burden, or as someone whose needs are too much.
In practice that can look like a plan with an actual date on it, or somewhere to live. Whatever form it takes, it is close to done and mostly solitary.
