Wands are the fire suit, so the Nine of Wands sits in Leo. That makes this Leo's own card, so nothing in it is being read from the outside, and the flattering interpretation is the one to distrust. What it asks for is the thing Leo already believes it is good at: spend the energy on one thing today. Upright, it is nearly finished, and the last stretch of it is mostly solitary.
When reading about relationships through a Leo lens, the Nine of Wands says that you feel like love is something you give in grand gestures and then measure back in kind, something that should feel like being chosen (or being enough), and something you do not know how to do quietly.
