Wands are the fire suit, so the Nine of Wands sits in Aries. Aries sits directly beside Taurus, the one relationship a sign cannot see clearly because it is too close to get any distance on. What it asks for is this: spend the energy on one thing today. The difficulty is noticing it is being asked at all. Upright, it is nearly finished, and the last stretch of it is mostly solitary.
When reading about relationships through a Taurus lens, the Nine of Wands says that you feel like your partner is a life you tend carefully, a person whose patterns you have memorized, and someone who should want the same future you do. This has either meant staying in something comfortable that stopped being kind, or building something so solid with someone that both of you know what the next ten years will hold. The thing you're not saying out loud is the thing that matters most. The Taurus blind spot in it is the feeling that the ground is shifting under something they thought was permanent.
In practice that can look like a fight with heat in it. Whatever form it takes, it is close to done and mostly solitary.
