Seven of Swords tarot card

"Deception isn't the question. What you do next is."

Six quick picks first, then your reading

On the card

A man in the act of carrying away five swords rapidly; the two others of the card remain stuck in the ground. Swords represent knowledge and seven represents trickery. Together this card represents a bit of a hair brained scheme.

Upright
DeceptionStrategyStealthGetting Away With Something

Be careful, a trickster is at play. Perhaps romantically someone says exactly what you want to hear, but does not mean what they say in their heart. Perhaps you are tricking yourself into doing something that you know isn't aligned with your values. Either way, be honest with yourself about what you actually want and need; don't resort to tricks to get there.

Reversed

Your plan is backfiring, you had a strategy and were executing on it, but it is just not working. You might have to be honest about your own shortcomings and see what you can do to change. People are not trying to hurt you, but your plan is not going as expected. Regroup and move forward with earnestness.

Minor ArcanaNumber card
One of the 56 Minor Arcana. They are about what is happening in ordinary life right now. Each belongs to one of four suits, numbered Ace to Ten, plus four court cards.
SuitSwords · Air
Swords are the suit of Air: mind and language. A Swords card is always, underneath, about what you think, and the story you keep retelling yourself.
NumberSeven
The numbers tell a story inside each suit, from a seed at the Ace to the full expression at Ten. Seven is the private reckoning: assessment done alone, where self-deception is easiest.

Seven of Swords for Pisces in Money and Wealth

The Dreamer

Swords are the air suit, so the Seven of Swords sits in Libra. Libra and Pisces are quincunx, two signs with nothing in common: no shared element, mode, or polarity. This card will not slot neatly into how Pisces already operates. What it wants is this: write the sentence down and stop rewriting it. It has to be done deliberately or it will not happen. Upright, the assessment is being made alone, which is where it is easiest to be wrong.

When reading about money through a Pisces lens, the Seven of Swords says that you feel like money is something you're afraid to look at directly, a problem you can solve by not thinking about it, and something tied to whether you deserve to take up space at all. This has either left you in financial chaos that someone else eventually rescues you from, or made you hoard quietly because scarcity feels like the only thing you can control. You have not looked at your full financial picture all at once, and the not-looking costs more than the looking would. The Pisces blind spot in it is the moment they have to stop being useful and admit they're drowning.

In practice that can look like reading the actual number, or a decision made on paper instead of in your head. Whatever form it takes, it is being weighed alone, where it is easiest to lie to yourself.
