Seven of Swordsfor Scorpio · Self and Identity

"Deception isn't the question. What you do next is."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
A man in the act of carrying away five swords rapidly; the two others of the card remain stuck in the ground. Swords represent knowledge and seven represents trickery. Together this card represents a bit of a hair brained scheme.
Be careful, a trickster is at play. Perhaps romantically someone says exactly what you want to hear, but does not mean what they say in their heart. Perhaps you are tricking yourself into doing something that you know isn't aligned with your values. Either way, be honest with yourself about what you actually want and need; don't resort to tricks to get there.
Your plan is backfiring, you had a strategy and were executing on it, but it is just not working. You might have to be honest about your own shortcomings and see what you can do to change. People are not trying to hurt you, but your plan is not going as expected. Regroup and move forward with earnestness.

Seven of Swords for Scorpio in Self and Identity
The Transformer
Swords are the air suit, so the Seven of Swords sits in Libra. Libra sits directly beside Scorpio, the one relationship a sign cannot see clearly because it is too close to get any distance on. What it asks for is this: write the sentence down and stop rewriting it. The difficulty is noticing it is being asked at all. Upright, the assessment is being made alone, which is where it is easiest to be wrong.
When reading about yourself through a Scorpio lens, the Seven of Swords says that you feel like your own motives are worth interrogating endlessly, a mystery even to you (or especially to you), and something you will judge harshly before anyone else gets the chance. This has either led to you becoming very honest about what you actually want, or to you believing you do not deserve it. You have been so focused on who you think you should be that you haven't checked in with who you actually are. The Scorpio blind spot in it is the feeling of being fooled, or of being seen as naive, or of depending on someone who will leave.
In practice that can look like a loop that finally breaks, or seeing your own pattern in writing. Whatever form it takes, it is being weighed alone, where it is easiest to lie to yourself.
