Seven of Swordsfor Libra · Self and Identity

"Deception isn't the question. What you do next is."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
A man in the act of carrying away five swords rapidly; the two others of the card remain stuck in the ground. Swords represent knowledge and seven represents trickery. Together this card represents a bit of a hair brained scheme.
Be careful, a trickster is at play. Perhaps romantically someone says exactly what you want to hear, but does not mean what they say in their heart. Perhaps you are tricking yourself into doing something that you know isn't aligned with your values. Either way, be honest with yourself about what you actually want and need; don't resort to tricks to get there.
Your plan is backfiring, you had a strategy and were executing on it, but it is just not working. You might have to be honest about your own shortcomings and see what you can do to change. People are not trying to hurt you, but your plan is not going as expected. Regroup and move forward with earnestness.

Seven of Swords for Libra in Self and Identity
The Harmonizer
Swords are the air suit, so the Seven of Swords sits in Libra. That makes this Libra's own card, so nothing in it is being read from the outside, and the flattering interpretation is the one to distrust. What it asks for is the thing Libra already believes it is good at: write the sentence down and stop rewriting it. Upright, the assessment is being made alone, which is where it is easiest to be wrong.
When reading about yourself through a Libra lens, the Seven of Swords says that you feel like you are a collection of versions that other people have seen in you, a thing that must stay balanced or it will tip into being unlikeable, and something you do not fully trust without external confirmation. This has either kept you from knowing what you actually like, or forced you to become very clear about who you are precisely by refusing to be a mirror anymore. You have been so focused on who you think you should be that you haven't checked in with who you actually are. The Libra blind spot in it is being the one who breaks the tie, names the problem, or asks for something first.
In practice that can look like a loop that finally breaks, or seeing your own pattern in writing. Whatever form it takes, it is being weighed alone, where it is easiest to lie to yourself.
