"Deception isn't the question. What you do next is."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
A man in the act of carrying away five swords rapidly; the two others of the card remain stuck in the ground. Swords represent knowledge and seven represents trickery. Together this card represents a bit of a hair brained scheme.
Be careful, a trickster is at play. Perhaps romantically someone says exactly what you want to hear, but does not mean what they say in their heart. Perhaps you are tricking yourself into doing something that you know isn't aligned with your values. Either way, be honest with yourself about what you actually want and need; don't resort to tricks to get there.
Your plan is backfiring, you had a strategy and were executing on it, but it is just not working. You might have to be honest about your own shortcomings and see what you can do to change. People are not trying to hurt you, but your plan is not going as expected. Regroup and move forward with earnestness.

Seven of Swords for Taurus in Work and Career
The Builder
Swords are the air suit, so the Seven of Swords sits in Libra. Libra and Taurus are quincunx, two signs with nothing in common: no shared element, mode, or polarity. This card will not slot neatly into how Taurus already operates. What it wants is this: write the sentence down and stop rewriting it. It has to be done deliberately or it will not happen. Upright, the assessment is being made alone, which is where it is easiest to be wrong.
When reading about work through a Taurus lens, the Seven of Swords says that you feel like work is where you prove your value stays constant, a place you have learned completely, and something you protect from disruption. This has either led to becoming irreplaceable in a role that stopped teaching you anything, or to moving deliberately into new work and building mastery there from the ground up. You have not asked yourself what you actually want from this work, only what you think you should want from it. The Taurus blind spot in it is the feeling that the ground is shifting under something they thought was permanent.
In practice that can look like clarity about what the job actually is. Whatever form it takes, it is being weighed alone, where it is easiest to lie to yourself.
