Mars against Venus-ruled Taurus is the harder planet arriving in the softer register. It will feel like being asked to do without something Taurus normally uses to smooth things over. Upright, this is happening out in the visible world, where other people can see it and respond to it.
When reading about relationships through a Taurus lens, the Chariot card says that you feel like your partner is a life you tend carefully, a person whose patterns you have memorized, and someone who should want the same future you do.
