The Foolfor Pisces
"You already know the answer. You're just scared."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
A youth on the start of a journey stands precariously on a cliff, but remains free of anxieties. Holding a rose, a small pack, and guided by a dog. They are unperturbed (and perhaps excited) by the cliff they stand on or the trials they will soon face.
Look closer.
Take a leap of faith to start something new and exciting. The past guides us through our inner voice and tells us to find a balance between the known and unknown. Remember, anxiety and excitement can feel the same in the body. Remain open to new experiences and trust in your own wild heart
Something is blocking you from your new adventure: perhaps fear of the unknown, lack of trust in your own intuition, or a true sense of needing more information before moving forward.
The fool card in earlier version of the deck was called 'the jester', evoking the idea of a court jester who can speak truth to a powerful king or someone who follows their own path. From the card imagery we can see that this card also references the Greek trickster god Hermes (notice the gold boots, the wand and the running position).
Its place in the deck.
Where it shows up.
The Fool for Pisces
The Dreamer
Pisces is a Water mutable sign ruled by Jupiter, whose natural subject is the unconscious, dissolution, retreat, what is hidden from the self. Uranus works on a longer clock than Neptune-ruled Pisces is used to. Whatever this is, it will not resolve on Pisces's preferred timeline. Pisces is mutable: it adapts, and this is a card about beginning, so the start will be easy and the shape of it will keep changing. Upright, nothing has started yet, and that is the actual content of the card rather than a delay in it.
