The Hermit tarot card

"The answers are in the quiet you keep avoiding."

Six quick picks first, then your reading

On the card

A lonely figure holding a lantern and looking to the left stands on a mountain, walking stick in hand. He represents solitude, but also the wisdom gained from deeply knowing your inner truth. This takes time and mental energy, but leads to a kind of lightness

Upright
Inner GuidanceSoul SearchingSolitudeWisdom

You are being called to turn inward, focus on listening to yourself and become a master in your own voice. Spend time alone (maybe through an artist's date, meditation, or journaling) to connect with your inner hermit. Ponder what you value most and keep that in mind as you navigate this busy world.

Reversed

You are avoiding a part of yourself or some deep truth that you fear to admit. Perhaps you have disconnected from that part of yourself. Alternatively, you may have over indexed on solitude and need to reach out and spend time with people who align with your new found values

Major ArcanaCard 9
One of the 22 Major Arcana. They point to the large themes and turning points in a life, not the day to day. When one comes up, the reading is about something bigger than this week.
StageThe turn inward
After the Fool, the Major Arcana run in three stages of seven: the outer world (1 to 7), the turn inward (8 to 14) and the return (15 to 21). This one is in the turn inward: the point where the tools that worked outside stop working.

The Hermit for Libra in Work and Career

The Harmonizer

Mercury against Venus-ruled Libra puts the whole thing into words, which is either the relief or the trap depending on whether Libra then acts on them. Upright, this has turned inward, to the place where the outer tools stop working.

When reading about work through a Libra lens, the Hermit card says that you feel like work is a place to prove you can hold everyone's needs at once, a problem to solve without anyone feeling sidelined, and something that must look effortless even when it exhausts you. This has either led to you becoming the person everyone relies on and never quite gets to rely on in return, or to you quietly building something on your own terms while everyone else thought you were still deciding. You have not asked yourself what you actually want from this work, only what you think you should want from it. The Libra blind spot in it is being the one who breaks the tie, names the problem, or asks for something first.

In practice that can look like a change large enough to reorganise the rest, or the job becoming a different job. Whatever form it takes, it is turning inward, where the usual moves stop working.
