The Hermitfor Virgo · Work and Career
"The answers are in the quiet you keep avoiding."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
A lonely figure holding a lantern and looking to the left stands on a mountain, walking stick in hand. He represents solitude, but also the wisdom gained from deeply knowing your inner truth. This takes time and mental energy, but leads to a kind of lightness
You are being called to turn inward, focus on listening to yourself and become a master in your own voice. Spend time alone (maybe through an artist's date, meditation, or journaling) to connect with your inner hermit. Ponder what you value most and keep that in mind as you navigate this busy world.
You are avoiding a part of yourself or some deep truth that you fear to admit. Perhaps you have disconnected from that part of yourself. Alternatively, you may have over indexed on solitude and need to reach out and spend time with people who align with your new found values

The Hermit for Virgo in Work and Career
The Analyst
Mercury rules Virgo, so this card is not describing an outside force. It is describing Virgo to itself, which is why there is no distance in it. Upright, this has turned inward, to the place where the outer tools stop working.
When reading about work through a Virgo lens, the Hermit card says that you feel like work is the place you prove you belong, something that has to be done correctly or not at all, and a way to disappear into usefulness (or into the work itself). This has either led to you being the person things fall apart without, or to your burnout becoming a kind of quiet protest. You have not asked yourself what you actually want from this work, only what you think you should want from it. The Virgo blind spot in it is the feeling of being useless, or of having wasted time on something that didn't hold up.
In practice that can look like a change large enough to reorganise the rest, or the job becoming a different job. Whatever form it takes, it is turning inward, where the usual moves stop working.
