Two figures stand in a garden of eden unsinned but with a guiding angel and a snake beneath their feet. The lovers are about finding balance in feminine and masculine energy, in heaven and hell, in temptation and abstaining.

The Lovers for Sagittarius in Work and Career
The Seeker
Venus sits outside Sagittarius's usual Jupiter register, so this one arrives as unfamiliar weather. Upright, this is happening out in the visible world, where other people can see it and respond to it.
When reading about work through a Sagittarius lens, the Lovers card says that you feel like work is the place you prove you can master something fast, a stepping stone to the thing you actually want, and the point at which comfort starts to feel like a cage. This has either led you to build real expertise in one thing or to have a resume full of chapters with no book. You have not asked yourself what you actually want from this work, only what you think you should want from it. The Sagittarius blind spot in it is the specific weight of a single commitment, the slowness of actually building something, the possibility that it might not be enough.
In practice that can look like a change large enough to reorganise the rest, or the job becoming a different job. Whatever form it takes, it is happening in the visible world where other people can see it.
