Perhaps a relationship ended (but maybe it was toxic the whole time), perhaps you were fired (but your free to pursue your true passion), perhaps it's a litany of things, but have faith in yourself and rebuild with your true goals and values at heart.
The universe is trying to guide you to make a radical change, but you are blocked from taking that guidance. Perhaps the clues from the universe are less obvious or perhaps you have an iron sense of will. Some things in life are meant to be hard, but you know the difference between doing a hard thing and doing something not meant for you.
