Wands are the fire suit, so the Three of Wands sits in Leo. That makes this Leo's own card, so nothing in it is being read from the outside, and the flattering interpretation is the one to distrust. What it asks for is the thing Leo already believes it is good at: spend the energy on one thing today. Upright, it has become visible to other people, which is the part that makes it real.
When reading about yourself through a Leo lens, the Three of Wands says that you feel like your image is the thing you are always refining, something that could always be more impressive (or more real), and the constant distance between who you are and who you appear.
