"Partnership isn't the question. What you do next is."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
Cups represent emotions, love, and feelings. The two of cups is about a connection that already feels steady, coming into a new age of emotional connection and balance.
The feelings are mutual, you are on the same page and you are making prolonged eye contact. In love and romance this is a steamy card about connecting with another person on a deep level, but it can be a partnership outside of the romantic
Something is off balance in a key relationship. Some ruptures can be healed, but pay attention as this card is a sign that a breakup or ending might be what's needed in the long term.

Two of Cups for Aries in Self and Identity
The Initiator
Cups are the water suit, so the Two of Cups sits in Cancer. Cancer squares Aries, so the card asks for the move Aries is least fluent in: say the feeling to the person it is about. The friction is the content, not an obstacle to it. Upright, the second thing has actually arrived and the negotiation between them is live.
When reading about yourself through an Aries lens, the Two of Cups says that you feel like your body is a machine to prove something with, a problem to outrun (or overcome), and the only thing you trust because it does what you tell it to. This has either made you physically strong and brave enough to try what others won't, or left you injured and angry at your own body for not cooperating with your will. You have been so focused on who you think you should be that you haven't checked in with who you actually are. The Aries blind spot in it is the feeling that nothing you do makes any difference, that you are not the center of the story.
In practice that can look like grief you did not schedule. Whatever form it takes, it is becoming a two person situation.
