Six quick picks first, then your reading

On the card

Cups represent emotions, love, and feelings. The two of cups is about a connection that already feels steady, coming into a new age of emotional connection and balance.

The feelings are mutual, you are on the same page and you are making prolonged eye contact. In love and romance this is a steamy card about connecting with another person on a deep level, but it can be a partnership outside of the romantic

Reversed

Something is off balance in a key relationship. Some ruptures can be healed, but pay attention as this card is a sign that a breakup or ending might be what's needed in the long term.

Two of Cups for Cancer in Self and Identity

The Nurturer

Cups are the water suit, so the Two of Cups sits in Cancer. That makes this Cancer's own card, so nothing in it is being read from the outside, and the flattering interpretation is the one to distrust. What it asks for is the thing Cancer already believes it is good at: say the feeling to the person it is about. Upright, the second thing has actually arrived and the negotiation between them is live.

When reading about yourself through a Cancer lens, the Two of Cups says that you feel like you are only acceptable when you are useful, your body is something that wants too much (or needs too much), and your own feelings are something to handle in private. This has either made you excellent at ignoring your own pain until it becomes a crisis, or taught you that being gentle with yourself is not selfish. You have been so focused on who you think you should be that you haven't checked in with who you actually are. The Cancer blind spot in it is being seen as a burden, or as someone whose needs are too much.

In practice that can look like grief you did not schedule. Whatever form it takes, it is becoming a two person situation.
