"Loss isn't the question. What you do next is."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
A tumultuous card-- lots of spilled cups and a lack of connection. This card signifies struggle and loss.
A major setback has occurred. Grieve for what you lost (maybe a relationship, a part of yourself, or a loved one). It's okay to be sad-- this card calls us to honor that sadness. It was a big deal and it's okay that you're hurting. Give yourself time to heal.
In a dark time, you found a path through to the light. Slowly you found yourself again and that inner strength is like a candle in the dark. You can navigate this situation.

Five of Cups for Taurus in Work and Career
The Builder
Cups are the water suit, so the Five of Cups sits in Cancer. Cancer sextiles Taurus, which is help that has to be taken up rather than help that arrives. What it asks for is this: say the feeling to the person it is about. Taurus is perfectly capable of that, which is exactly why not doing it needs a better excuse. Upright, the loss is happening rather than being feared, which is the harder and simpler thing.
When reading about work through a Taurus lens, the Five of Cups says that you feel like work is where you prove your value stays constant, a place you have learned completely, and something you protect from disruption. This has either led to becoming irreplaceable in a role that stopped teaching you anything, or to moving deliberately into new work and building mastery there from the ground up. You have not asked yourself what you actually want from this work, only what you think you should want from it. The Taurus blind spot in it is the feeling that the ground is shifting under something they thought was permanent.
In practice that can look like a resentment that has to be said out loud. Whatever form it takes, it is breaking, and the loss in it is real.
