Emotional BalanceWisdomDiplomacyCalm Authority

Someone (or yourself) is upholding the emotional wellbeing of you and those around you. A gentle forcefulness or protective energy around your heart. Unlike the queen of cups, the king represents a more active role (instead of nurturing/healing it's more about setting boundaries and moving forward).

Reversed

A malevolent force in your life, aware of the occult and intentionally taking actions against you. Perhaps a roguish figure who has two emotional lives that do not overlap. Avoid vices and scandal or people associated with them.

King of Cups for Sagittarius in Health and Energy

The Seeker

Cups are the water suit, so the King of Cups sits in Cancer. Cancer and Sagittarius are quincunx, two signs with nothing in common: no shared element, mode, or polarity. This card will not slot neatly into how Sagittarius already operates. What it wants is this: say the feeling to the person it is about. It has to be done deliberately or it will not happen. Upright, this is the element used out in the world, at the cost of still feeling it.

When reading about health through a Sagittarius lens, the King of Cups says that you feel like your body is a machine that gets you to the next place, something that will hold up if you do not think about it too hard, and less important than where you are trying to go. This has either meant you stay resilient and light or has meant you crash hard when the body finally stops cooperating. The body has been sending the same signal for months and nobody has bothered to listen. The Sagittarius blind spot in it is the specific weight of a single commitment, the slowness of actually building something, the possibility that it might not be enough.

In practice that can look like wanting to be looked after. Whatever form it takes, it is being decided by whoever holds the authority.
