Page of Cupsfor Sagittarius · Work and Career

Cups are the water suit, so the Page of Cups sits in Cancer. Cancer and Sagittarius are quincunx, two signs with nothing in common: no shared element, mode, or polarity. This card will not slot neatly into how Sagittarius already operates. What it wants is this: say the feeling to the person it is about. It has to be done deliberately or it will not happen. Upright, this is someone at the start of the element: sincere, curious, not yet any good at it.

When reading about work through a Sagittarius lens, the Page of Cups says that you feel like work is the place you prove you can master something fast, a stepping stone to the thing you actually want, and the point at which comfort starts to feel like a cage. This has either led you to build real expertise in one thing or to have a resume full of chapters with no book. You have not asked yourself what you actually want from this work, only what you think you should want from it. The Sagittarius blind spot in it is the specific weight of a single commitment, the slowness of actually building something, the possibility that it might not be enough.

In practice that can look like a resentment that has to be said out loud. Whatever form it takes, it arrives as news, or as someone new and sincere.
