Seven of Pentaclesfor Leo · Work and Career
"Patience isn't the question. What you do next is."
Six quick picks first, then your reading
A young man, leaning on his staff, looks intently at seven pentacles attached to a clump of greenery on his right; one would say that these were his treasures and that his heart was there. Pentacles represent wealth and the seven card represents agency and mysticism. Together this card means tending to your own wealth and taking true agency over your own fortunes.
This card signifies a time of hard work, you are working towards your own goals and are laser focused on that. Building something great takes time and hard work. In a romantic sense it might mean that you should continue to get to know the person you are dating and put effort into the relationship. If you are single it might mean to focus on your own goals before dating someone new.
You have been overly generous with your money or time. It has put a hard strain on your life and relationships. It could mean you are procrastinating (giving too much time to things that aren't as important). Know your own goals and move toward them at a steady pace.

Seven of Pentacles for Leo in Work and Career
The Creator
Pentacles are the earth suit, so the Seven of Pentacles sits in Capricorn. Capricorn and Leo are quincunx, two signs with nothing in common: no shared element, mode, or polarity. This card will not slot neatly into how Leo already operates. What it wants is this: change one concrete arrangement this week. It has to be done deliberately or it will not happen. Upright, the assessment is being made alone, which is where it is easiest to be wrong.
When reading about work through a Leo lens, the Seven of Pentacles says that you feel like work is the place you prove something, something you want to be visibly excellent at (or lead from), and a stage where your effort has an audience. This has either led to genuine excellence backed by real skill, or to chasing the role that looks like the thing instead of doing the thing itself. You have not asked yourself what you actually want from this work, only what you think you should want from it. The Leo blind spot in it is being ordinary, being forgotten, being the one no one thought to invite, being seen doing something mediocre.
In practice that can look like a promotion that is really more work. Whatever form it takes, it is being weighed alone, where it is easiest to lie to yourself.
